제2회 K-Idol 선발대회 개최를 진심으로 축하합니다.
호주한인 문화재단이 주최하는 이 K-Idol선발대회는 다른 어떠한 교민행사보다 중요한 의미를 가지고 있습니다.
제가 행사를 많이 다녀보지만 이렇게 청소년 여러분이 많이 참여한 것을 처음 봅니다.
오늘은 바로 여러분들이 주인공입니다. 오늘만큼은 우리 부모님들은 전적으로 여러분들을 격려해 주실 것입니다.
바로 세대간 일체감이 형성될 것입니다.
바로 이러한 세대간 공감대가 40년이 된 우리 호주 이민역사에 필요한 것입니다. 이제 머지않아 바로 여러분들이 우리 한인 사회를 이끌어 나가야 하기 때문입니다.
한인회와 호주한인문화재단 등 교민 단체들도 이를 잘 알고 있습니다. 여러분들이 계속 관심을 가지고 참여하시기 바랍니다.
또한 이 K-Idol 선발대회는 우리 젊은 세대가 서로 화합하고 우리 한민족이 이런 끼를 많이 가지고 있구나 하는 것을 발견하는 축제이며 이를 호주 사회에 알릴 수 있는 좋은 기회입니다.
또 여기서 우수한 성적을 얻으면 한국 무대로 진출해서 활동할 수 있는 길도 열립니다. 오늘 참여하는 분들은 그동안 쌓아온 기량을 마음껏 발휘하시기 바랍니다.
그리고 이 행사를 기획하고 준비해주신 호주한인 문화재단 옥상두 이사장님과 재단 관계자 여러분들께 감사의 말씀을 드립니다. 앞으로도 계속 우리 청소년들을 많이 참여시키고 지원해 주시기 바랍니다.
Now I would like to say a few words in English.
This K-Idol contest showcases promising young Korean performers, the winner of which will go on to compete in the final K-Idol contest in Korea.
It is not just a talent quest however.
It is also a festival enhancing understanding between the different generations in the Korean community and promoting pride and harmony among young Koreans. All contestants and audience members alike rejoice in this festival.
I would like to particularly congratulate those who have reached the final stage of the Korean Idol talent quest.
In reaching this stage, you have already shown that you possess remarkable talent.
However, I would suggest that you also display significant talent as ambassadors for the Korean community in
The Korean community is considered a success story of Australian multiculturalism.
I encourage you to build on this successful example by becoming proud, confident Australian-Koreans who strive to contribute positively to society by building a bridge between Australians and Koreans.
